Who can help if I want to buy a home?

When you are ready to explore buying a home, visit Champ Real Estate at Champrealestate.org, the real estate business of Summit Peak’s owner. You can discuss your home-buying plans there. Continue to contact Summit Peak about your current rental and lease questions.

Who can help me sell my home or rental property?

For buying or selling a property, connect with Champ Real Estate at Champrealestate.org, the real estate business of Summit Peak’s owner. If the property is currently managed by Summit Peak, also contact our team to discuss the existing management arrangement and renter communication as you plan your next step.

Who owns Summit Peak Property Management?

Summit Peak is owned and operated by Darryl Champion, a U.S. Army veteran who served during Desert Storm. Darryl has worked in real estate in the Colorado Springs area for more than a decade. His goal is to make rental ownership and finding a home simpler, with personal service for both owners and renters.

Is Summit Peak veteran owned and operated?

Yes. Summit Peak is led by a U.S. Army veteran. We welcome military members, veterans, and civilian owners and renters alike. You do not need a military connection to work with us.

Which areas do you serve?

Our primary service area is Colorado Springs and El Paso County, including Fountain, Manitou Springs, Monument, Palmer Lake, Calhan, Falcon, Peyton, and Black Forest. Contact us about your specific property or rental search.

Will I need to communicate directly with renters?

Summit Peak handles owner and renter communication as the central point of contact. Renters bring their questions and concerns to us, and we keep owners informed about matters that need their attention. We agree on communication expectations and owner approvals when setting up management.

How does Summit Peak approach renter screening?

We carefully vet prospective renters before placement, with the aim of building reliable rental relationships. Contact Summit Peak to walk you through the current criteria and review process. Screening supports informed decisions; it cannot guarantee future payment or behavior. Applicants should receive consistent, fair consideration.

What happens if a renter does not pay rent?

Summit Peak offers one month of rent protection for the property owner when a renter does not pay. We handle communication and work to resolve the unpaid balance. If the situation requires eviction, we coordinate the appropriate legal process.

Contact Summit Peak for the written coverage details, including eligibility, payment timing, exclusions, and how the benefit applies to your property. This is a one-month benefit, not a promise that every loss or legal cost will be covered. Recovery and court timelines vary.

What does property management cost?

Contact Summit Peak for a proposal based on your property and service needs. Ask for a written explanation of management and leasing fees, additional charges, approval limits, and rent-protection terms before signing.

Can you manage my Colorado Springs home while I am away?

Yes. Summit Peak can be the local point of contact for your rental while you live elsewhere or move to another duty station. Before you leave, discuss access, ongoing communication, maintenance approvals, and the property’s readiness for renters.

Read the PCS rental-property checklist.

How do I ask about available rental homes?

Call 719-623-7432 or email contact@summitpeakpm.com. Tell us your preferred location, move-in window, budget, and household needs. We will discuss current options; the photographs on this site are illustrative, not listings of available homes.

Who do I contact about my rental?

Contact Summit Peak directly for rental questions and routine concerns. You do not need to coordinate separately with the owner. For urgent maintenance, follow the instructions in your lease or resident materials; the general inquiry form is not an emergency channel.

What should I prepare before applying?

Ask for the property’s current application criteria, required documents, fees, and submission instructions before applying. Have your preferred move-in date and rental history ready to discuss. Send sensitive identity or financial documents only through the application method Summit Peak confirms, not the public inquiry form.

Do you work with military families and veterans?

Yes. We help military members, veterans, and their families with rental ownership and rental searches in the Colorado Springs area. Our military background informs the personal service we aim to provide. We also serve the broader community; military service is not required.

What should I do if I receive PCS or deployment orders?

Contact Summit Peak early so we can discuss your timing and the next steps for your property or rental. Certain military orders may give eligible renters lease-termination rights under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. Notice and documentation requirements apply.

Review the Department of Justice’s SCRA information and speak with your installation legal assistance office about your situation before assuming a move-out date or payment obligation.

Are you affiliated with a military installation?

Summit Peak is an independent, veteran-owned business. We are not a government housing office and do not represent or have an endorsement from the Department of Defense or any installation. Our military resources are provided to help you find the right official contacts.
